“ALKOX” resins are high molecular weight poly(ethylene oxide) . Their molecular weight range from several ten thousands to several millions.
“ALKOX ” resins are polymers produced by ring-opening polymerization of ethylene oxide using special catalysts originally developed by us.
“ALKOX ” resins are generally white granular powder with good fluidity at room temperature and they has thermoplasticity, therefore, they can be used as rigid resins.
In addition, “ALKOX ” resins are water soluble. The solution is being widely used by utilizing their unique viscosity.
The unique characteristics of “ALKOX” resins exist in having both water solubility and thermoplasticity together and, therefore, they are being used for developing wide and various applications which are unable to offer by other resins.

This data has indicated the solubility at 1wt% solution of “ALKOX “ into various solvents.
This polymer dissolves into Acetonitrile, Dichloromethane at 25 degrees C.
Also it dissolves in Acetone, Methanol etc. at 50 degrees C by heating.
This data has indicated the thermogravimetric reduction curve of “ALKOX “.
At the atmosphere in Nitrogen, “ALKOX” does not reduce the weight by 350 degrees C.
On the other hand, at the atmosphere in Air, it reduces the weight rapidly from around 200 degrees C by its decomposition.
